Recently, a couple of new Android-based smartphones is announced by Motorola Mobility. These smart devices are set to release in the Canadian market in the coming weeks. The company in a statement said that both the phones are being updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich through a 200-240MB over the air release.
Motorola Atrix HD LTE and Razr V are expected to function on Android 4.0 operating system, incorporate Kevlar fiber protection, and provide similar form factors. Though they look similar to each other on the surface yet they have varied number of differences integrated under their hoods.
The new Android-based smartphones Atrix HD LTE and Razr V will also feature an updated look and feel to the user interface. Both the handsets are also said to include an improved voice recognition system. Motorola has stated that upgrade will also feature homescreen customization and navigation changes and amendments in the social networking integration as well in the two mobile phones. Along with the upgraded operating system, nine EA games will be offered free to the users by Motorola.
The mobile manufacturer also stated that users who update their devices with Ice Cream sandwich will not be able to go back to their previous operating system Gingerbread, the old version of Android.
Motorola Razr V stood first in the line to get the update. It is the latest entrant in to the notably thin Droid Razr series and is also considered as the most powerful so far. The phone comes with various striking features including a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera (1080p HD video recording), HSDPA support, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a microSD expansion slot.
Designed in to an 8.4mm beautiful chassis, the Razr will be offered by all the leading mobile networking carriers including Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile, and WIND Mobile. Though Motorola has not yet announce the cost of the handset, the company has stated that the updated handset will arrive in to the markets later this summer.
The Motorola Atrix HD LTE is a somewhat stronger device on various fronts among which the most noticeable is the support of 4G LTE connectivity of the handset. Due to get release this summer as a Bell Mobility exclusive, the Atrix HD LTE also offers consumers with a 4.5-inch HD (720×1,280-pixel) display. The handset is powered by 1.5Ghz dual-core processor in the same 8.4mm frame.
This Motorola handset will also offer various important features to the users including 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage capacity, Micro-HDMI, and microSD expansion for up to 32GB.
