Two of the latest Motorola handsets Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx are scheduled to receive an update of their operating system. Both the handsets are to get Android 4.0 or Android ICS update according to the recent declaration made by the mobile brand Motoroloa. Even if Motorola has not yet revealed any particular date, the smartphone manufacturer has revealed that the update has already rolled out but on the hands of their beta testers.
The mobile brand Motorola has assured its users that they will get their Android update by June 30, 2012. It seems that the target date of the update is possible since as of the moment, the update is already available for the beta testers. The beta testers who have already received the OS Android update would be able to test and scrutinize it for the last-minute bugs and network problems before formally revealing it to the public.
For the past few months, the Android update has been a reason of annoyance for some of the Motorola users in the US because of a latest incident with the mobile provider, Verizon. The mobile carrier has apparently sent a text message to users regarding the upcoming update and the instruction that they require to delete a definite application (Verizon Wireless Mobile IM app) because it is not supported by the Android update. As it turns out, the text message was a spam and it did not come from the US carrier.
However, the Motorola users in Australia using Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx would have to wait a little longer for the Android update. The update will be authoritatively rolled out in the US before it is received in Australia. The Australian users also have to wait for an official announcement from their mobile carriers regarding the specific schedule for their Android ICS update.
This Android OS update for Motorola is anticipated to reveal across the globe but yet, the release date and availability would still be dependent on their individual mobile carriers.
